The College has three main campuses and two smaller sites in Brighton and Hove. Our Central College campus is located in the centre of the ‘city by the sea’. Brighton is a major educational centre with a large international student population who enjoy its relaxed, cosmopolitan air, buzzing nightlife and thriving culture.
Our City College East campus (located close to Brighton Marina) includes state-of-the-art dance and music practice studios, journalist news room, sports facilities for Public Services and Sports courses as well as housing our 14-16 Construction Trade Centre and Brickwork department.
Our West campus, the Connaught Centre, based in the centre of Hove, is our Adult and Community Centre, offering hundreds of interesting hobby and leisure courses.
We also have the benefits of:
You will find refectories on both the City College Central and East campuses that offer excellent value and fantastic variety. We are open throughout the day with a breakfast, lunch and early evening service. A Grab and Go shop is available at Central campus with drinks and vending machines at both sites.
A warm welcome awaits you at the Connaught Coffee Shop based in the Connaught Adult and Community Centre. The Coffee Shop serves hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, savoury snacks, cakes and confectionery.
Our Library Resource Centre (LRC) contains materials and information relevant to all courses at the College. There are over 40,000 books, 315 magazines and over 2,500 DVDs and videos plus a rapidly developing collection of music CDs.
There are 46 workstations with internet access, networked CD ROM, word processing facilities and colour printers and photocopiers. In the new Audio-Visual Suite, LRC users have access to DVD, video and audio playback facilities. Facilities also include Group Study Rooms and a Silent Study Area as well as informal seating in the Current Periodicals section.
Dedicated IT drop-in suites are available on all campuses for course assignment work.
The College has a very successful Students' Union, run by City College students with support from two staff members to promote social, cultural and recreational activities.
All part-time students are able to join the National Union of Students and receive the NUS card. This offers discounts both locally and nationally at cinemas, music stores, clubs, clothes stores, hairdressers and restaurants.
The Union organises many different events throughout the year including a Talent Show, trips to Amsterdam and Dublin. It also arranges many sporting activities including inter-College football matches and basketball
