Access to HE Ciourses
Access to Higher Education courses are a fantastic way to prepare you for an undergraduate course at university. Each of the Access to Higher Education courses run for one year and is approximately three days per week.
They are suitable for those people who wish to return to education in a supportive environment. It may be that you didn’t fully achieve while you were at school or were unsure of your direction and have had some years at work and/or raising a family and are now enthusiastic about returning to education with a clearer vision of your future.
To succeed on an Access course, you need to be motivated, enthusiastic, and able to manage your time effectively and be ready to study. You will also need to be 19 years of age or over. You will be part of a group of adult students who are excited about learning and are willing to work hard with other members of the group and participate.
We offer a wide range of Access courses, all of which provide an opportunity to learn more about a specific subject area as well as core skills in studying ICT, English and Maths, so they are excellent preparation for study at university.
Forget school, you will be learning in a college environment. All of your classes will be interesting and enable you to be involved and assessed by a range of methods including presentations, essays, reports, case studies, short answer tasks, and for some courses, practical work.
