NOW IN THE CENTRE OF TOWN!
We are based in bright, new, airy offices in the heart of the city in the bustling, bohemian North Laine area. The city centre is renowned for being a multi-media hub and this is where you will be right in the mix.
There are now opportunities for Grants available. Click here for more information.
The courses are practically based with the aim of getting students a job on a magazine, newspaper, online/video website or for those who want to make it as a freelancer. In today’s world, it is crucial that journalists-to-be have as many skills as possible, and a wide range, and that is achieved through the content of these courses.
The one year Multimedia journalism course (three days a week) would be suitable for someone wanting to train to be a fully qualified journalist but has other commitments they have to maintain on the other two days.
The fast track is a high pressure course and students are made aware that it comes first; hence we discourage students with part time or evening work commitments.
Our students are noted for achieving high standards, gaining plum jobs in the industry and winning NCTJ awards for their excellence.

EU Parliament Building
The EU has it all – controversy, topicality and with the Greek debt and ongoing European recession crisis it looks like making headlines for months, if not years to come. So as trainee journalists find out for yourselves what it's all about as we take a trip to one of the key EU institutions: the European Parliament. Find out what they do and how they do it as City College offers a unique opportunity for up to 12 students to attend an expenses paid trip to a plenary session of the European Parliament. Get the facts first hand rather than the half baked truths that many churn out about the EU.
The NCTJ Journalism Diversity Fund offers a funding stream to people from ethnically and socially diverse backgrounds, who may not have the financial means to support themselves on an NCTJ-accredited course. Visit the Journalism Diversity Fund website to see if you may be eligible.
