Great Teaching

At City College, we run a number of high level part time filmmaking courses that will develop your skills for your own creative projects or kick-start a career in the industry. 

On the courses, you'll be working with like minded people to produce innovative and interesting films in both drama and documentary styles. The course tutors are all experienced professionals from the digital film and video production industry who really know how to pass on their knowledge and harness your creativity.

This year the department was graded Outstanding by Ofsted, so you can be sure that you'll receive the highest standard of teaching on your course.

Great Kit

The kit we use is all industry standard, and is regularly renewed to keep up with changes in the industry. For example this year we have invested in 5 brand new Sony NX5E cameras. We have 2 Mac suites with 38 iMacs running Final Cut Pro and a range of other top end editing software. Also we have a Film Studio with Film Set and Green Screen Area.

Plus a wealth of other state of the art film making and sound recording equipment.

Great Value

One of our great strengths is that we are able to offer our part time courses at a considerably cheaper cost than those in the private sector. For example our 17 week Level 3 Filmmaking course is only £590.
