This course will develop your basic skills and knowledge to start a career in the construction industry. You will undertake practical work in various trades using hand tools, power tools and erecting scaffolds for access.

Qualification:
BTEC Introductory Diploma in Construction. Equivalent to 4 GCSEs at D-G.
Could lead to:
NVQ 1 or 2 through an Apprenticeship (with an employer) or part-time (day release) Foundation Construction Award.
Entry Requirements:
You must be able to work safely in a potentially dangerous environment. You must be willing to try all aspects of this course and be able to work as part of a team.
