Some learners will be eligible for a concession fee (check the Fees section). If you are claiming a concessionary fee you will have to enrol in person, please remember to bring your means tested benefi t evidence with you when you come in to enrol.
Fees are payable before your course starts.
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, credit/debit card (we do not accept American Express or Diners cards), direct bank transfers or direct debit.
Contact the Finance Office for further details on 01273 667788 ext. 338 or 324 or email: finance@ccb.ac.uk.
As long as your fees are greater than £80 you will be able to enter a part payment agreement with the College. You will need to pay at least 25% of your fees when you enrol and will be asked to enter into a direct debit agreement for the remainder of your fees payable in 2 further installments. You will also need to sign an agreement that you will pay all of the course fees, even if you withdraw from the course. If you wish to take advantage of the part payment plan you will have to enrol in person, please remember to bring your bank details for the direct debit with you when you come in to enrol.
The College operates a strict no refunds policy unless a course has been cancelled by the College and no suitable alternative can be found. If you withdraw from your course you will still be liable for any fees that are still owed to the College. Queries related to refunds must be made in writing to the Finance Director or you can email: finance@ccb.ac.uk
If you are not from the UK or the European Economic Area (EU plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland), you will be required to provide your passport or Home Office papers so we can assess if you are eligible to pay the same fees as UK and EEA learners. You will be contacted about this after applying.
Students from the EEA do not need to attend a fee assessment but will have to provide proof of nationality when they enrol.
Fee assessment is not necessary for full cost (FC) courses.
If your employer is paying for your course, they will need to complete a Contract of Sponsorship, you can find a copy at the back of this prospectus. Contracts should be returned to the Finance Department before you enrol, the address is:
Finance Department, Room PT220
City College Brighton and Hove
Pelham Street
Brighton BN1 4FA
If we have received your Contract of Sponsorship, you will not be required to pay any fees when you enrol.
Where a learner’s employer takes responsibility for payment, a discount of 10% is offered on tuition fees in most cases.
Once you have agreed to sponsor a learner, we will send you a sponsor pack, which includes an employer charter and a fee account statement including methods of payment. We will offer regular feedback on progress.
We offer customised courses in addition to the offer set out in this prospectus, including delivery at your premises and a free training needs analysis. For more details please contact City Business Skills (citybusiness@ccb.ac.uk).
Please note: 10% prompt payment tuition fee discount does not apply to partially sponsored learners or learners sponsored for Full Cost or Higher Education courses.
