Course aims:

This course will teach you the basics of many home maintenance skills, potentially saving you money and frustration at having to call out a professional!
This six week course is aimed at the homeowner or small builder; who want to have the confidence to tackle simple domestic repairs.
This course assumes no prior knowledge on the subject.

Course content:
On this DIY course in Brighton you will learn a range of key home maintenance skills including:
Simple tiling techniques
Repairing & fixing plaster board
Fixing skirting boards/ Dado rails
Patching and repairing plaster walls
Replacing a door lock
Basic plumbing techniques
Facilities for students:
Students will be based at our City College East Campus in our Building Trades Department, where there are excellent workshop facilities and well equipped classrooms. All tools, equipment and materials are provided to enable you to successfully complete the course.
There is ample car parking facilities on site. The campus is also well served by local buses.
Tutors:
All the tutors in department have many years experience in the construction industry and are fully qualified in their trade and also fully qualified teachers.
