Course content:
This course will encourage you to develop you individual skills in machine embroidery.

Guidance and tuition will be given to enable you to translate your ideas into designs and to select appropriate techniques, colour schemes and materials. While developing your own individual work you will be introduced to a number of skills which will further develop your knowledge and give you a wider choice for inclusion in your designs.

These skills will include: advanced stitch techniques, design projects, cut/burn away applique, soluble fabrics, textured paint/stitch techniques, transfer printing, resist printing (wax, gutta).

This course is suitable for students who have attended the beginners course or equivalent.

A materials and equipment list will be sent out prior to the course. If you wish to use a College sewing machine please let us know when you book your place as numbers are limited - there will be a one-off charge of £5 for use of a machine.
