Course content:
Almost all professional film, video and broadcast productions are now editing on a digital platform. These packages are used worldwide by video professionals for cutting edge video editing, video compositing and for generating video effects. They include real-time editing architecture and media management tools plus support for virtually all professional video formats.
Whereas these are professional packages, their use is well within the grasp of the home user. Some high functioning packages are now primarily aimed at the prosumer and consumer markets.
This intensive course offers initial training in digital film editing through 18 hours of training split over 6 evenings. In this course you learn to perform basic editing functions while familiarizing yourself with the user interface.
Through practical sessions using real editing examples you will learn professional editing skills that can be applied to all digital editing packages.
Course content:
* Marking clips, using insert, overwrite and drag-and-drop editing
* Trimming edit points
* Using Ripple, Roll, and Extend edits as well as the Slip and Slide tools
* Applying filters and changing Motion properties.
* Audio editing and audio creation
* Finishing and final output
Facilities for students:
Adobe Premiere running on our high powered Apple iMac computers in our well equipped iMac Editing classrooms.
