Course content:
Learn how to make your own clothes using a commercial pattern. Students will work towards making a simple garment each term starting with a skirt. The tutor will advise on suitable patterns and fabrics in the first session. Improving students can try out more challenging patterns and fabrics while improving their dressmaking knowledge.
This course is also suitable for beginners who have not sewn before. A materials and equipment list will be sent out prior to the course.
If you wish to use a College sewing machine please let us know when you book your place as numbers are limited - there will be a charge of £5 per term for use of a machine).
