Course aims:
Ever fancied yourself as a filmmaker? Want to improve the quality of home movies?

This intensive course aims to give you an introduction to the knowledge and skills needed to be able to produce digital video. You will receive training in a variety of filmmaking disciplines such as pre-production, Sony Z1 camera operations, lighting techniques, and editing in Final Cut Pro.

Course content:
On this course you will learn about:

High Definition Sony Z1 camera operations
lighting techniques
pre-production planning
Final Cut Pro editing

Facilities for students:
The College has a new iMac editing suite that will give all students access to their own edits, broadcast quality cameras and sound recording equipment.

Entry Requirements:
Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending the course:

* Knowledge of Mac OS X and basic computer navigation
* Basic knowledge of editing terminology is recommended
