Course summary: Cooking with and for children can be tricky (to say the least!). This course will show you how to make ‘fast food favourites’ homemade and healthy. Learn tips on how to get kids cooking and eating with you (maybe even for you). Get ideas for family meals that are versatile – ready for people coming and going at different times; how and when to add flavours and ingredients that adapt a meal to different tastes and needs. Ideas for eating food on the go – snacks and outdoor food. The course will give you some basic recipe ideas that you can personalise and use as ‘recipe trees’ – one recipe a starting point for many others. The focus is on simple, balanced meals that are fun to make and good to eat for all the family. A list of ingredients will be given to you in advance of each session (expect to pay approx £5 each week) and be prepared to bring appropriate container to take your dishes home in.
