Mastered the basics of knitting and want to learn more? This workshop could be for you.
During the day you will investigate how you can add textures to your knitting by working simple cables. It’s really not as hard as you may think!! Master the art of using a cable needle to create simple twisting and moving cables and learn how to follow the abbreviations in a pattern to create these.
By the end of the day you will have created a number of cabled samples and have the knowledge and skills to try out a cable knitting pattern. The tutor will provide some materials but it would be helpful to bring your own needles (including cable needles) if you have them, a pattern with cabled stitches that you would like to try and follow, a notebook, scissors and some oddments of yarn.
This is not a workshop for beginners – you must be confident with the basics and know how to knit, purl and cast on and off.
Fees for your course: £24
