Course aims:
On this entreating and informative photography course you will explore the photographic techniques, equipment & materials needed to create stunning black and white images.
This is an introduction course into 35mm film camera operation which teaches you the manual operations to control depth of field and shutter speed functions to give full control of the image making process.
You’ll learn how to develop black and white film, make contact prints and enlargements using traditional chemical based darkroom methods.

Assessment: No formal assessment is required for this course, however
during the course students will receive ongoing feedback through group and 1-1 tutoring about their assignment workbooks and presentations completed during the 6 weeks.

Portfolio images should show competence in film, digital and studio based practice which could assist in working within the photographic industry.
