Course aims:
On this practical photography course you’ll gain an intermediate to advanced level of practical experience using your own and college cameras to produce creative imagery, using sophisticated photographic techniques.
Tutors will be on hand to assist you in completing your projects using techniques learnt from the studio and reflections from location to improve your overall photographic capability
By the end of the course you’ll have created a varied portfolio of work that you can add to in the future or use to gain work or gain admission onto higher level courses.
This course is an intermediate level course and is a progression from the Colleges introduction course. If you already have a basic skill level in photography you can join straight onto this course.

On this course you will learn about:
Assessment: During the course students will receive ongoing feedback through group and 1-1 tutoring about their assignment workbooks and presentations completed during the course. Throughout the course students also self evaluate their own work to help them to identify their strengths and also areas for improvement.

Entry Requirements:
An SLR film camera and a keen interest in taking photographs and learning new skills.
Progression and links:
Students undertaking this course will produce a body of work that could contribute towards a portfolio of evidence for application to other Further Education courses.
Portfolio images should show competence in film, digital and studio based practise which could assist in working within the photographic industry.
