Course content:
A relaxed and enjoyable course covering a wide range of printing techniques for textiles.
Design and create printing blocks. Learn how to screenprint using paper stencils and experimental techniques. Explore free methods of applying colour to cloth using monoprint and painting.

You will gain the skill and confidence to develop individual projects for printed textiles in a fun and supportive environment.

As you progress through the course you will build up a sketchbook of ideas; learn how to interpret and translate drawings and creative ideas into textile prints; get to know the colour wheel; mix transparent and opaque printing ink; experience printing on different fabrics.

By the end of the course you will have produced a sketchbook of ideas; a finished piece of work; a range of printed samples and have the ability and enthusiasm to continue at home.

This course is suitable for beginners and improvers.
An equipment list will be sent prior to the start of the course. There is a materials charge of up to £2 per session, payable to the tutor.
