Course aims:
This course has been designed to develop your ability to communicate design solutions graphically using computer design software to generate three-dimensional representations of a designed space or architectural elements.
During this course you’ll develop technical modelling skills which will enable you to create three-dimensional elements and construct a three-dimensional space.
You’ll get the opportunity to apply your existing knowledge of design (interior and architectural) to build up your knowledge of three-dimensional modelling and graphical representations. Also you’ll have the chance to develop presentation skills through application of material, texture and lighting to enhance their three-dimensional visuals.

Tutors within the Centre for the Visual Arts are highly qualified, enthusiastic & experienced. They provide a wide range of professional expertise and skills. Many are also practising Artists/Designers and well as Educators.
Assessment: Throughout the course you will receive verbal feedback about your work from both staff and other students. Also you’ll evaluate your own work to identify their strengths and also areas for improvement.

Entry Requirements:
Introductory qualification in Interior Design/Architecture or experience of interior design/architectural work is essential (including basic knowledge of technical drawing).
Basic ICT knowledge.
Genuine interest in and enthusiasm for Interior Design/Architecture and a willingness to undertake work independently outside College hours.
Progression and links:
Although suitable for those who wish to study three-dimensional modelling for interest and pleasure, this course can act as a stepping stone for students wishing to progress onto higher level Part time or Full time Further Education and Higher Education courses. Further Education courses offered at City College include: Intermediate Interior Design (PT) and NCFE L3 Certificate – Advanced Interior Design (PT).
This course will provide you with skills and ability to enhance your Interior Design/Architecture portfolio and increase your employability. Students can also meet market’s demands of three-dimensional modelling and computer aided design skills.
