Course content:
This practical course will take you through basic steps to make a stained glass panel; designing a pattern, cutting glass, leading, soldering and cementing. We will also be exploring other techniques such as copperfoiling. Students with more experience will be able to work on their own projects developing skills previously learned.
Some basic tools are available to use but students will be required to provide their own materials such as glass and lead as they progress to their individual projects.
This course is suitable for both beginners and those with more experience.
Beginners will be required to pay a contribution of £10 for materials for the first project to the tutor.
This course is not suitable for women who are pregnant or thinking of starting a family in the near future due to the use of lead.
