Course aims:
This is a practical, hands-on course introducing the process of bringing objects and characters to life. You’ll practice different stop motion methods including pixilation, object animation and claymation, using materials and facilities provided by the College.
An emphasis on experimentation and learning new techniques will culminate in the creation of stop motion characters and the production of short stop motion animated sequences.

Facilities for students:
Students will be based at our City College Main Campus where we have extensive and excellent facilities for practical and theory work. These include: state of the art Windows PC’s and Apple Macintosh’s with industry level software. Teaching and learning aids such as Smart Whiteboards, data projectors, personal City College email accounts, Virtual Learning Environment and personal online file storage space will compliment and aid student’s learning whilst on the course.

Joe is a practicing animator and illustrator with five years of experience in teaching animation to a variety of ages and skill levels.
Assessment: Opportunities for supportive and informal verbal feedback from staff and students will be provided in each session.
