Adults with Learning Difficulties & Disabilities

Part-time courses in Brighton.

 

City College offers highly enjoyable and interactive 12-week courses for Adults with Learning Difficulties & Disabilities (ALDD) learners, with a range of fun and stimulating subjects you can choose from to boost your skills and knowledge.

The ALDD courses are flexible, which means you can enrol on to as many or as few classes as you want – whatever you feel suits your needs and budget! Each weekly class lasts for two hours.

You can choose to start the courses in September or February and courses run for 12 weeks. You can pick as many subjects as you wish, each costing £100.

Please make it clear on your application form if it’s the September 2016 or January 2017 course that you want to book on to.

Discription of courses

Art 2D
Drawing, painting, pastels and charcoal are some of the mediums you will use on this course. You will need to be happy using different materials.

Art 3D
Creating and producing 3D art work using different textures and mediums.
You will need to be happy with getting your hands very messy at times!

Media Studies
Do you watch TV or like going to the cinema? This course will allow you to watch and discuss TV, film, adverts, magazines and newspapers.

Current Affairs
Do you know who your local MP is? Share your opinion of the local and global issues affecting us all today?

Local History
How much do you know about the history of Brighton and Hove? Share the fascinating and interesting history of our city.

Drama
Do you like acting? You will work with others and take part in different acting and drama activities.

Countries and Cultures
Can you speak another language? Do you know which food comes from which country? Find out some interesting facts and learn more about our world.
