Apprenticeship Levels
What Level of Apprenticeship is right for you?
There are three different levels of Apprenticeships available at City College :-
- Pre-Apprenticeships
City College offers a range of Pre-Apprenticeships, designed to give students a taster of the Construction industry.
- Apprenticeships - Level 2 (equivalent to five good GCSE passes)
Apprentices work towards a work-based learning qualification such as an NVQ Level 2, Key Skills and in some cases a relevant technical certificate. These provide the skills you need for your chosen career and allow entry to Advanced Apprenticeships.
- Advanced Apprenticeships - Level 3 (equivalent to two A level passes)
Advanced apprentices work towards a work-based learning qualification such as a NVQ Level 3, Key Skills and in some cases a relevant technical certificate. To start this programme, you should ideally have five GCSEs (grade A- C ) or have completed an Apprenticeship at Level 2 and have been assessed to progress to Level 3.
