Course Programme

City College offers a range of 14-16 programmes to meet the needs of local learners. They include:

2 year programmes

Students start in Year 10 and finish at the end of Year 11. Programmes include BTEC Introductory and First Certificates, Diplomas and NVQs.

LINKs courses

Short courses which allow students to try out one or more vocational subjects while they are in year 10 and 11. These courses are designed for learners of all levels of ability. A College Certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete this programme.

14-16 Enagement Programme

In partnership with the Local Education Authority, City College runs a range of different programmes aimed to engage students and equip them with new skills.  The programmes currently offered are ‘Construct a Hut’, ‘Build a Green Car’ and a course focusing on Customer Service.
