I have an employee requiring apprenticeship training

If I have an employee requiring apprenticeship training, what happens next?

If you have just recruited or have an existing employee wanting to do an apprenticeship, whether it's a young person or an adult, please contact the City Business Skills team on 01273 667756, selecting option 1 or email apprenticeship@ccb.ac.uk.

We will arrange for one of our College Skills Advisers to visit you and discuss the potential training required and arrange a Health and Safety visit of your premises. City College Brighton and Hove and the Learning and Skills Council believe in the safe learner concept and we are required to make this Health and Safety assessment of your premises to ensure the learner is working in a safe environment,

Once this has been completed the employee/learner can be signed up onto the programme and the training can commence. this may take two or three weeks before all the initial assessments have all been completed but you will be updated on a regular basis and you will be given one point of contact should you require additional information.

Apprenticeship Vacancy Matching Service

Employers can now advertise their vacancies on www.apprenticeships.org.uk for all Apprenticeship vacancies. This wil enable you as an employer to find the best candidate for the job and the training that you will be offering as part of the Apprenticeship Programme and will be linked to City College as the training provider to assess the most suitable method of training for your enterprise.
