The concession fee applies for learners on the following types of benefits, for each of these you will also need to supply the following types of documentary evidence:
IS/HB/CTB letter dated within 3 months showing learner name, current address and benefi t received OR a letter older than 3 months supported by a current bank statement (dated within 3 months) showing regular benefit receipts.
JSA Letter dated within 3 months showing learner name, current address and benefit received OR a JSA letter older than 3 months supported by a current bank statement (dated within 3 months) showing regular receipt of JSA. (ES40 JSA benefit book not acceptable).
Current year Inland Revenue WTC Award Notice TC602 (original only) showing total annual household income less than £15,276, learner name and current address.
Current Year Pension Service GPC Award Notice (original only) showing learner name and current address. (Acceptable together with Savings Pension Credit - SPC not acceptable on its own).
Letter/notice dated within the last 3 months showing learner name, current address and benefi t received OR a letter older than 3 months supported by a current bank statement (dated within 3 months) showing regular benefit receipts.
Benefit letter dated within 3 months showing learner as named dependent of benefit claimant at same current address and benefit received OR a letter older than 3 months supported by a current bank statement (dated within 3 months) showing regular benefit receipts.
Letter or notice proving receipt of means tested benefit (as above) or equivalent, dated within 3 months OR a letter/ notice older than 3 months supported by a current bank statement or Post Office receipts (dated within 3 months) showing regular receipt of benefits.
