It provides a practical approach to appreciating and understanding the technology and skills required to become part of a games development team and how the processes and products work. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of different games platforms and types of interactive products available. In introducing you to design approaches and industry standard software and techniques, it will enable you to develop your own ideas and the know-how of what goes into the making of a playable and exciting computer game.

Our games development courses aim to give students insight into as many facets of gaming as possible with an emphasis on the creative and artistic aspects along with a thorough grounding in the history of games design and its cultural importance. City College is proactive in attracting a balance of male and female students to an exciting area of study which is no longer seen as a male dominated field.
