Course aims:
The Street Jazz Dance course is an intensive, practical course that gives learners access to leading practitioners in this exciting area of Dance. The practical emphasis of the course will give learners the opportunity to develop their dance skills, their creativity and their physical fitness. By the end of the course, learners will have experienced a wide range of modern, urban styles and have gained a BTEC National Award in Performing Arts (Dance).

Course content:
The majority of the course will be delivered through practical dance workshops with leading dance practitioners. Units covered are:

Facilities for students:
A fully kitted out dance studio, great music and well connected dance teachers.

Tutors:
All dance tutors are practitioners in a range of dance styles.

Assessment: All units are assessed through practical assignments that lead to public performance. These assignments will also contain written coursework that underpins the practical.

UCAS Tariff: 40 - 120

Awarding Body: Edexcel

Entry Requirements:
You will normally need to have at least one of the following:

Progression and links:
Provides UCAS points towards Higher Education. Develops skills necessary for further training at Dance School.

Course emphasises practical dance skills as sort after by the industry.
