Take your first step towards studying for a degree in Brighton

City College has many years experience of delivering Higher Education (HE) and has consistently attracted positive feedback from external examiners. The College provides HE programmes that blend academic and work-related learning and aim to equip you with the knowledge and skills to pursue your career and/or further study.

Access courses in Brighton

Have you always wanted to go on to University, but do not have the qualifications? Our one year Access courses will allow you to progress to University, improve your academic skills and increase your self-confidence in your learning ability.

Facilities at City College Brighton and Hove

Our Higher Education department benefits from the skills and experience of tutors who have gained professional experience and have years of teaching experience. As a College we are very lucky to have this dedicated team who will be working with you whilst you are studying with us. We are also very privileged to have outstanding teaching facilities. If you are studying on the Photography FdA for example, you will be using top-of-the-range Apple Mac's, dark rooms, printing facilities and industrial scanners. Our Music Production FdA students will benefit from the hands-on experience our studios and performing space allows you.

Validated by the University of Brighton

The College's HE courses are validated by the University of Brighton. This means that the college students enjoy access to many of the facilities and services of the University. Located within the heart of Brighton, the College also provides an ideal base for the HE students to engage with employers and industry, as well as with the rich cultural and social life of the city.
