Maintenance Operations Apprenticeships

Construction Apprenticeships in Brighton


This multi-skilled construction Apprenticeship will equip you with a broad range of skills and enable you to develop the practical experience and knowledge required for maintenance operations.

Duration: 24 Months

Start Date: September and January

Course Content: You will learn, develop and practice the skills required to provide general maintenance tasks which will include:

  • Basic plumbing
  • Basic painting by brush and roller
  • Apply and finishing plaster
  • Hanging standard wallpaper
  • Maintaining non-structural carpentry
  • General health and safety in the workplace
  • Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace

Assessment: Assessment will be through a range of assessment techniques including workplace observations, on-line tests and the production of a portfolio of workplace evidence and knowledge.

Progression: Following successful completion of the Apprenticeship you may want to further develop your skills by enrolling onto a Trade specific Level 2 qualification.

Entry Requirements: To do this course you are required to have one of the following 5 GCSEs grade A E to include English and Maths or an equivalent level 1 qualification in the same vocational subject. If you meet the criteria you will be invited to interview with one of the Construction tutors.
