Opening Doors programme for Job Seekers

Free courses for job seekers in Brighton and Hove

 

Each Opening Doors programme is tailored to pinpoint and develop your employability skills, whilst positively impacting job outcomes and entry-level qualifications.

If you are aged 19+, unemployed, currently seeking work and claiming benefits you qualify for this FREE programme, so why not ENROL NOW and let us help you find that job!

The programmes show you how to fine-tune your CV, adopt new interview techniques and unlock opportunities to work closely with employers in and around Brighton. During 2014/15, a fantastic 43% of learners who completed the courses have successfully moved in to employment or academic progression.

The programme includes:
- Microsoft Office IT skills
- Self-development
- Employability skills including CV-writing and interview skills
- Industry-specific training in:
   - Business and administration - AAT Level 1 and BTEC Level 1 in Work Skills
   - Health and social care - Level 1 Award and BTEC Level 1 in Work Skills
   - Service Industry Pathways (customer service and sales)

We also offer Opening Doors short courses in IT for beginners and intermediates (Microsoft Office).

City College works hard to secure work placements within various industries, to enable you to gain hands-on experience and showcase your skills in a real working environment.

Our course tutors bring professionalism, in-depth experience and dedication to each programme, helping learners progress - both in their education and their future career path.
