Financial assistance may be available if you would otherwise be discouraged from joining or staying on a course, for financial reasons. Funds can help with tuition fees, exam fees, materials, travel and childcare costs. Applications are assessed according to need and on a first come, first served basis. You should make your application before you enrol. If you think you might be eligible to receive financial assistance and would like an application form and guidlines, please contact Student Support on 01273 667709. Normally you will only receive financial assistance for one course. You will need to pay the College registration fee and any balance of fees that are not covered by financial assistance.
For more information please read below or to download the application forms please visit our Financial Assistance page.
Where a learner's employer takes responsibility for payment, a discount of 10% is offered on tuition fees in most cases. A letter on headed paper (public sector bodies) or a completed sponsorship form is required at or before enrolment. This is available from the Enrolment or Finance Offices or via Guidance and Admissions. We can also offer the form electronically and you can sponsor up to 10 learners per form. We can offer negotiable payment terms via the Finance Office finance@ccb.ac.uk. Once you have agreed to sponsor a learner, we will send you a sponsor pack, which includes an employer charter and a fee account statement, including methods of payment. We will offer regular feedback on progress. We offer customised courses in addition to scheduled courses, including delivery on your premisies and a free training needs analysis. For more details please contact City Business Skills (citybusiness@ccb.ac.uk).
Please note: 10% prompt payment tuition fee discount does not apply to partially sponsored learners or learners sponsored for full cost (non LSC funded) courses.
