How to Apply for a Part-time Course

Direct Enrolment courses

For some of our courses, you are able to enrol directly without making an application. This can be done either online, in person, by post or via telephone. These courses display an 'Enrol & Pay Online' button on the course discription page. Alternatively, the direct enrolment courses are marked with a 'E' icon in the course guide.

Enrol and Pay Online

Please be aware that if on the website there is no 'Enrol & Pay Online' button then the course is not available for online enrolment at this time. Find your course on and click the 'Enrol & Pay Online' button to be directed to our secure online'payments system. Register your details and pay using a debit or credit card, and your space on the selected course will be reserved.Please note that to complete your online enrolment full payment of all fees will be required.'

Enrol and Pay in Person

To enrol in person please visit the Student Centre at Pelham Tower, Pelham Street, BN1 4FA, about two minutes walk from Brighton train station. Please complete this Enrolment Form in advance.

Enrol and Pay by Post

Complete the Enrolment Form and send with payment to: Student Records, City College Brighton and Hove, Pelham Street, Brighton, BN1 4FA. Cheques should be made payable to 'City College Brighton and Hove' or 'CCBH'.Please note that submitting a postal enrolment does not guarantee a place on the course. In the event that the course is full, you will be contacted to advise you and to discuss alternative courses.

Courses requiring an Application and Interview

Courses that require an application display an 'Apply now' button on the course description web page or are marked with a 'A' in the course guide. This icon means entry on to the course is subject an interview. For these courses, please complete an Application Form by clicking the ‘Apply Online‘ button which can be found on the course pages at Alternatively, you can print off a paper copy from this application form pdf.

You will then be invited for interview and if successful, you will need to enrol in person at our Student Centre.

Within 2 weeks we will confirm to you the outcome of your interview. If you wish to check the progress of your application please call the relevant curriculum area or the Admissions department on 01273 667704.

Once you are accepted onto a course you will be sent an offer letter containing information on how to enrol, which must be done in person at City College. You need to bring your offer letter with you in order to enrol. You will be asked to sign a Learning Agreement and will be required to pay course fees. On your first day of your new course you will need to show your tutor your learning agreement and fee receipts.

Once you join your course you will receive further information about the college to help you start with confidence and ease.
