Course aims:
The Beauty industry is a perfect area to work if you’re a sociable person who enjoys being caring and creative, through working in the beauty industry you’ll gain a great sense of satisfaction from making clients friends and family feel great about themselves.
On this beauty course you’ll develop skills in areas such as facials, eye treatments, waxing, manicure, pedicure and make-up, as well as the principles of health and safety and reception duties.
This beauty therapy course will eventually provide you with the skills and confidence to move further in education or to be able to work in salons, hotels, health spas, cruise liners and department stores.

Entry Requirements:
You will need a friendly mature attitude, good communication skills and take pride in personal appearance.
You must be 100% committed to the course duration.
Preferably Grade D English and Science (due to the Anatomy and Physiology element)

Following successful completion of this course, you may wish to further develop your skills by enrolling on the Level 3 Beauty Therapy, Holistic Therapy courses and Nail Techniques.
This qualification enables the therapist to work in industry as a therapist, a manager or clinic owner, in a hotel or spa.

The cost of these courses are split into 3 categories. Category 1: If you are aged between 19-23 years and are studying at the level of your chosen course for the first time. This applies to Level 1, 2 and 3 courses. If this is your first level 3 course, the upper age limit is 24. Category 2: If you are in receipt of a 'work- related' benefit such as Job Seekers Allowance, or that you can self-certify (sign a form) that you are actively seeking work. Category 3: if you do not sit within Categories 1 or 2, this will be the cost you will need to pay for your course.
