Course aims:
This course is suitable for beginners who are perhaps looking to develop their carpentry and joinery skills or who are looking to have a complete career change.
The course offers a perfect opportunity to gain the practical skills of carpentry and joinery, learn how to use hand and power tools safety and gain knowledge of health and safety in construction, leading to an accredited City and Guilds and Construction Skills qualification and progression to a Level 2
qualification.

The cost of these courses are split into 3 categories. Category 1: If you are aged between 19-23 years and are studying at the level of your chosen course for the first time. This applies to Level 1, 2 and 3 courses. If this is your first level 3 course, the upper age limit is 24. Category 2: If you are in receipt of a 'work- related' benefit such as Job Seekers Allowance, or that you can self-certify (sign a form) that you are actively seeking work. Category 3: if you do not sit within Categories 1 or 2, this will be the cost you will need to pay for your course.
