Course aims:
The Door Supervisor licence is a mandatory course. Anyone involved in work of a door supervision nature by way of business or employment supplied either under contract or employed in-house will require a licence. This includes employees, employers, managers, supervisors and directors of security companies. The course aims to provide those working in the industry with the mandatory qualification that is legally required in order to practice.

Course content:
There are four modules covered by the course these are:
Module 1 – Working in the Private Security Industry
Module 2 – Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry
Module 3 – Working as a Door Supervisor
Module 4 – Physical Intervention
Assessment: There are three examinations one for modules 1, 2 and 3 and an assessment for the Physical Intervention module. The three examinations are all multiple choice.
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS SPECIFIC ID REQURED IN ORDER TO TAKE THE EXAMINATIONS AND YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE 1 PASSPORT SIZED PHOTOGRAPH.

Entry Requirements:
You must have a Level 2 qualification in English to take this course.
Anyone wishing to be employed as a Door Supervisor has to be in possession of a licence issued to them by the Security Industry Authority (SIA). The SIA issues licences to Door Supervisors who meet their criteria.
To qualify for an SIA licence you will need to satisfy three requirements:
1) Pass an identity check
2) Pass a criminal records check
3) Possess a recognised Door Supervisors qualification
