Course aims:
This course is designed for any employee that has been designated an appointed person to deal with first aid. An appointed person is someone who can take charge of an emergency situation should the need arise. Please note that this is not a First Aid qualification. The full First Aid qualification is a four day First Aid at Work course.

Amongst other things the course covers:

Roles and responsibilities of appointed persons
Aims and priorities of first aid
Management of the unconscious casualty
Recovery position
Cardio pulmonary resucitation
Treatment of choking
Control of bleeding
Asthma
