Course aims:
This qualification is designed to meet the needs of people already in the industry, wishing to a gain an NVQ Level 2 on day release in a vibrant, inspiring environment.

You’ll be taught by modern-thinking lecturing staff and produce ethnic and international cuisine in the College’s renowned training restaurant, The Gallery. The course aims to increase your skills and knowledge in food hygiene, food safety, preparing and cooking meat, poultry, pasta, rice and vegetables.

You will need to produce evidence from the workplace to complete a portfolio to gain this qualification.

Entry Requirements:
Any Level 1 qualification or equivalent work experience.

The cost of these courses are split into 3 categories. Category 1: If you are aged between 19-23 years and are studying at the level of your chosen course for the first time. This applies to Level 1, 2 and 3 courses. If this is your first level 3 course, the upper age limit is 24. Category 2: If you are in receipt of a 'work- related' benefit such as Job Seekers Allowance, or that you can self-certify (sign a form) that you are actively seeking work. Category 3: if you do not sit within Categories 1 or 2, this will be the cost you will need to pay for your course.
