Course aims:
This VRQ is approved by DEFRA and is suitable for competent MAC technicians who have completed previous qualifications, which can include in house training.
If you’re a MAC technician wanting to join this course you must already have a good understanding of components and the system operations required to carry out servicing procedures relating to air conditioning systems.
From July 2010 if you wish to work on air conditioning units you’ll be legally required to have this qualification so if you’re thinking of branching out into this area this course will get you fully certified.

Course content:
This course contains one mandatory unit: AC1 Refrigerant Handling that will be completed on site.
This qualification is assessed by an on-demand on line test and a practical assessment.
