Course aims:
On this reflexology course you’ll develop the skills and gain the confidence necessary to practice Reflexology professionally. During the course you’ll learn skills in practical foot reflexology, anatomy and physiology, Business awareness and workplace health and safety.

Foot Reflexology is practised in salons and holistic therapy centres and spas around the world, and following successful completion of this course you’ll be in a position to apply for employment in leisure centres, health clubs, spas, salons, cruise liners, hotels or become self employed at home or overseas.

The Beauty and Holistic department benefits from fantastic facilities and enthusiastic and experienced tutors.

Course content:
On this course you will study:

• Practical foot reflexology
• Anatomy and physiology
• Health and safety
• Principles and Practice for Complementary Therapies
• Business Practice Awareness

The Beauty and Holistic Department is managed by Georgia Christoforou.
The Beauty and Holistic team is staffed by highly motivated tutors that are passionate about their subjects and have excellent links with employers.

• Observation of practical skills
• Case studies
• Independent study and research
• External exam: health and safety only

Entry Requirements:
No formal qualifications are necessary. However, previous recreational experience is desirable
You could demonstrate experience of holistic therapies, or an interest in the subject area.

Interview for entry: Interview required

Anatomy and Physiology for Holistic Therapists by F.Gould

Progression and links:
Successful completion of this course could allow progression onto Advanced Reflexology courses and onto other holistic courses that are offered in the department.

Alternatively, you may wish to apply for one of the various positions available in the Reflexology industry. You will be recognised and insurable through professional bodies.

Below are the fees for this course.

Home/EU students tuition fees (per year): 1: £0 2: £285 3: £1,485

The cost of these courses are split into 3 categories. Category 1: If you are aged between 19-23 years and are studying at the level of your chosen course for the first time. This applies to Level 1, 2 and 3 courses. If this is your first level 3 course, the upper age limit is 24. Category 2: If you are in receipt of a 'work- related' benefit such as Job Seekers Allowance, or that you can self-certify (sign a form) that you are actively seeking work. Category 3: if you do not sit within Categories 1 or 2, this will be the cost you will need to pay for your course.

Further information: You are required to purchase a compulsory textbook and uniform and shoes - details of which are sent with offer letter.

Text book – approx £20
Before joining the course you will need to purchase a uniform at a cost of approx £50
No other uniform (other than from the given kit list) can be worn.
