Course aims:
If you are interested in a career in FE, Adult Education,
community/work-based learning and development programmes then this introductory course is ideal.
It is intended to be a ‘survival guide’ for those entering the teaching or training market for the first time or for any new teacher who teaches in publicly funded provision to meet the mandatory requirements of a current post.
The course covers key issues such as barriers to learning, planning, delivery, assessment and record keeping.

The cost of these courses are split into 3 categories. Category 1: If you are aged between 19-23 years and are studying at the level of your chosen course for the first time. This applies to Level 1, 2 and 3 courses. If this is your first level 3 course, the upper age limit is 24. Category 2: If you are in receipt of a 'work- related' benefit such as Job Seekers Allowance, or that you can self-certify (sign a form) that you are actively seeking work. Category 3: if you do not sit within Categories 1 or 2, this will be the cost you will need to pay for your course.
