Pathways

An alternative route for 16-18 year olds

 

If you need to improve your vocational and employability skills to enable you to progress, Pathways is the ideal stepping stone course to build your confidence in a supported environment.

With Pathways, you specialise in one vocational area depending on what suits you best. You can choose from:

Being on a Pathways course, you’ll receive excellent help and support from experienced tutors and teaching assistants. Working in small classes, you’ll notice that your self confidence and self esteem will grow. Pathways also boosts your social skills and ability to get on with a variety of different people.

With the support of your tutors, you’ll develop skills to help you manage your learning and be given the opportunity to develop skills in English and Maths, making you ready to study on the next level of your course.

Start dates

Start date will be the week beginning the 5th of September and the course lasts for a full academic year.

Whats next?

Continue studying

Completing a Pathways course provides you with the opportunity to progress onto Level 1 or 2 Vocational courses, Level 2 Apprenticeships, Prince’s Trust courses and possibly employment.

Employment

After completing a Pathways course, you’ll feel much more confident when applying for jobs and it can provide a stepping stone onto a range of courses and qualifications that that will open up many career opportunities for you.
