For many of us, the current economic climate is causing unique pressures that you may not feel equipped to deal with. A recession can be a time of great stress and you may find yourself out of work or ill-equiped to adapt to the new job market.
City College Brighton and Hove has put together a series of programs and training that will help you gain new skills, feel able to apply for jobs with confidence and gain industry certificates that may be a prerequisite of a particular job.
You may feel that this is a bleak time for job prospects at the moment, but our message to you is that there are opportunities available and there is a demand for new employees, and we can help you win those jobs with the right training and support.

If you have been unemployed for 6 months or more, learning a new skill could open doors to a new career. We have worked closely with our partners at the job centres to provide a range of courses that match the jobs currently available in Brighton.
- Prince's Trust
These courses are free for those eligible and are the perfect opportunity to build your skills and confidence so you can get back into education or employment - the Prince's Trust 'Team' looks great on your CV or application form!
- City Jobs - City Jobs is a free employment service offering assistance with recruitment in Sussex.

City College Brighton and Hove is a major employer in Sussex and often advertises jobs in Brighton.

As well as our special programs listed above, we have over 700 courses on Full-time or Part-time offer. A recession or redundancy can be the perfect time to retrain and start the career you'd always dreamed of.
