Who is it for?

Students on this course are generally aged 16-18. You might have a moderate learning difficulty, such as dyslexia, or general difficulties with reading and writing, have Autism or Aspergers syndrome, behavioural difficulties (such as ADHD or EBD). You might have been home-educated, or might not have achieved your potential at GCSE and need a stepping stone to a specific

Level 1 course.

What will I study?
Core subjects designed to introduce and develop the skills needed for studying at Level 1 and for the workplace as well as vocational options. The subjects offer opportunities for team work and confidence building as well as developing skills. All students have to do English, Maths and ICT Functional Skills as part of the course.


Students who come on this course should be prepared to take part in all classes and be able to cope with the rules and expectations of College life.

All students will take an Initial Assessment and have an interview with the Tutor, to make sure they are suitable for the course.
