The Commercial and Enterprise department at City College Brighton and Hove provides scheduled and bespoke training programmes for businesses across Sussex.

Working with employers for staff and business development

At City College we are committed to working with employers to help you achieve your business goals and succeed in today’s competitive market. We offer a range of programmes to businesses and work with hundreds of local companies delivering bespoke short courses, apprenticeships and work placements.

We are strongly committed to working with employers, and to demonstrate this commitment we have been accredited as an Action for Business College. The accreditation is a kitemark to colleges providing a high level of customer service and fulfilling the future skills needs of local employers.

Our aim is to contribute to the development of local businesses by:

• Offering both scheduled and bespoke training and a range of business support services. The College provides Training Needs Analysis and Business Needs Analysis.
• We offer flexible training as we understand one of the biggest pressures on a business and its workforce is time. Training programmes that can be delivered flexibly to cope with your business demands are essential if you are to maintain a commitment to staff development. The College is able to deliver effective training solutions that are flexible in time, duration, and venue and also in content and outcome. Whatever your business need, we can create the solution.
• Providing advice and guidance to you the employer and your staff. Our team at City College can visit you in the work place to provide independent impartial advice to identify areas of improvement. We will provide appropriate solutions which best meet the needs of your business, including Short Course Delivery and Apprenticeships.
• Where the College is unable to meet your requirements, we will signpost you to a suitable provider.
