Pre-Employment Training Programme
Tourism Futures Pre-employment training programme is a seven week course where students will follow a full time structured programme and will achieve various qualifications:
- Welcome Host Qualification (Customer Service)
- Health and Safety at work qualification
- First Aid appointed person qualification
- Level 2 Food Safety in catering qualification
They will also gain further knowledge on getting a job including help with Mock interviews, CV and covering letters and will also attend one weeks work experience.
The students who complete the course would have reviewed their knowledge, skills and attitudes and reflected on what the course can offer them to develop attributes needed to work in the Tourism sector.
The first of these programmes finished in July 2010 with 10 students’s completing the course. It will also be running in September 2010 and March 2011 – dates to be confirmed.
