Applying for a Visa

Important information regarding visa's

Once we have received payment of your deposit we will then issue you with a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies). This is a unique number that you can use at the British post in your country. Applying for a visa can take time, so please make sure that you apply in advance.

• If your course is 6 months or more, your entry clearance will start a month before the course.
• If it is for a course of less than 6 months, your entry clearance will start seven days before the course

In order to obtain a visa, you need to get 40 points. 30 points will be given for the CAS and 10 points will be given for the evidence that you have enough money. You will have your photograph and fingerprints taken. This is called biometric enrolment. As well as biometric enrolment, you will need to visit your British post and show the following:

• Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) number.
• Evidence that you can meet the cost of your fees, your maintenance and the maintenance of any dependants you take with you. This information can be from you (bank statements) or your sponsor.
• Evidence that you have the qualifications necessary to study on the course. These may be your IELTS certificate or another approved certificate. These certificates must be originals, not copies.
