Homestay

Homestay accommodation is arranged for you by the College when you choose to study here

All our hosts are carefully selected to understand the needs of students from other countries. They can provide you with the perfect opportunity to experience British life and practise using your English in everyday situations.

You will live with a local host home and have your own study bedroom. Breakfasts, evening meals and weekend lunches are provided by the homestay family.

All your bills such as water, heating, food and lighting are included when you live with a host family. Special arrangements can be made with the host for internet access or the telephone bill.

Accommodation Costs

Arrangement fee

£25 non-refundable one-off payment for Summer School students. £50 non-refundable one-off payment for all other students.

Weekly Cost

£98 per week. You must pay 4 weeks rent (£392) on the day you move into your homestay.

Deposit

£196 (2 weeks rent). You will be expected to pay the deposit directly to your host on the day you move into the home

Please note: You will not have your deposit returned if you do not let your homestay know at least two weeks before you wish to move out.

You will pay the deposit in addition to your rent and tuition fees.  It will be returned to you when you have:

Notice period required: 2 full weeks before you intend to leave the homestay.  Notice must be given to the family and to the Accommodation Officer.

There can be a very heavy demand for places to live in Brighton and Hove so it is very important that you contact us as soon as you have a confirmed place at College.
