International Foundation Programme Courses
A course for International students to progress onto HE

Study in the Heart of Brighton
An International Foundation programme will prepare you to study at a UK university. On successful completion of the programme you can progress onto your chosen undergraduate degree at one of our partner universities .
We offer 5 subjects:
- Art & Design (September start only)
- Business (September and January start)
- Engineering (September and January start)
- Travel & Tourism (September and January start)
- Computing (September and January start)
Course dates:
- September 12th 2011 – June 29th 2012
- January 9th 2012 – 24 August 2012
Conditions of entry:
- You must be at least 17 years old
- You must have successfully completed 12 years of education up to upper secondary level or the equivalent of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above.
- For art and design, a portfolio of work will need to be assessed
- A minimum of IELTS 5.0 including a 5.0 in writing, or a Cambridge First Certificate in English grade C or TOEFL 500+, or TOEFL IBT 60+ or equivalent.
You will study:
- Academic subjects – either an Access to HE programme or BTEC + 1 AS level
- Study skills
- English language & IELTS preparation
- Approximately 20-25 hours depending on your subject + at least 10 hours homework per week
You will also be given plenty of help and advice with your university application and during the year we invite universities to the college to further assist you to make the right choice of undergraduate programme.
