Pre-Masters Courses at City College Brighton and Hove

Studying in Brighton

Our Pre-Masters programme will prepare you for postgraduate study at a UK university. This course is ideal if you would like to study a Business / Management subject and your undergraduate qualifications do not meet the level required for postgraduate study or you wish to take a master's in a subject that is different from your undergraduate degree. You also study English language and IELTS preparation and we would expect you to sit the IELTS test and achieve 6.5 overall and 6 in writing which is the normal English language requirements for a Masters programme. (Check individual universities entry requirements)

Course dates:

The course is taught over two 18 week semesters.

Semester 1 – September 12th 2011 – February 3rd 2012
Semester 2 – February 13th 2012 – June 29th 2012

Conditions of entry:

You must be at least 21 years old
You must have a 3 year diploma in a relevant subject or a first degree in any subject
Minimum IELTS 5.0 or equivalent

You can also begin your course at the start of semster 2 if you have a bachelors degree in a business related subject but below the level required for Masters degree entry and you have IELTS 5.5.

25 hours + at least 10 hours homework per week
