City College Brighton and Hove has achieved Action for Business Colleges accreditation which makes it only the fifth College in the country to have received this award. The Action for Business accreditation is a Learning and Skills Council kitemark to employers signalling that the College provides services that are responsive to local employers' needs. To achieve the kitemark, the College had to demonstrate its commitment, capacity and ability to deliver and shape provision to local employer's training and development requirements.
City College currently engages with over 2,000 employers in areas such as retail, digital design, hairdressing, catering and construction. City College works with these employers via sponsorships, apprenticeships, work placements and through offering bespoke and off the shelf training courses. The College is a Centre of Vocational Excellence in Digital Design, Catering & Hospitality, Business & Finance, Performing Arts and Retail.
