Isaac Bartlett-Copeland and George Thomas, two talented young chefs who have been attracting rave reviews from Brighton foodies for their restaurant Isaac At Gloucester Street, recently returned to their former College to share their skills with current Catering students for a sell-out event at City College Brighton and Hove’s Gallery restaurant.
'It was a pleasure to come back to where we started our journey as professional chefs and first honed our skills,' says Isaac. 'It also gave us a great opportunity to scout out potential chefs for the future and I enjoyed seeing what a good range of skill and ability there was amongst the students.' George adds: 'I think that the students seized the opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills from us and demonstrated the high standard of training they’ve had from their tutors.'

City College Catering tutor Allan Paul says:'As well as learning new techniques which are currently being used in the industry, our students felt that working with young chefs who were at the College just a few years ago was a really interesting experience because it showed what could be achieved with a good base of College- taught knowledge combined with ambition and imagination.'
